Aside from politics, he serves as the President of Logansport’s Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council, the Co-Captain of his speech team, the Vice President of his Youth and Government club, and is the Managing Editor of Magpie, the student newspaper at LHS. At Magpie, he has written several award-winning articles and, in 2025, won two Rowena Harvey Awards for first place in Column Writing and third for Writing Portfolio. Jackson is committed to rebuilding the INHSD into a strong organization that will lead the way to a blue Indiana.

TRAVIS GLOVER
STATE VICE CHAIR
Travis Glover is a sophomore at Franklin Central High School in Indianapolis, graduating early in May 2027, and serves as the State Vice Chair of the Indiana High School Democrats of America. Spending most of his teenage years in foster care after experiencing an abusive household, Travis finally found his pre-adoptive family in Indianapolis and decided to make a change since he’s seen the ins and outs of government systems. Travis was appointed, along with Jackson, to the Vice Chair Position on October 8, 2025. His current responsibilities with INHSD include finding primary candidates to endorse, managing social media platforms, engaging in contact with elected officials in both parties to support students across Indiana, and much more. Outside of INHSD, Travis enjoys doing Competitive Mock Trial with his amazing team at FCHS, with his amazing directors, listening to pop music, and going to Starbucks. Travis is committed to working alongside his team here to make Indiana a purple state again.
